Observatory and Santa Monica

This is a perfect day for me and my family! Free activities sound fun? All of this is free and even more importantly educational!! The Santa Monica pier is the perfect end to this day! But even though it is only about 15 miles away it can take around 30 to 45 min to get there. If it is a high populated day (i.e. summer, school is out, parade day…) then just be warned it is incredibly crowded and I suggest parking a couple blocks away in the parking structures. If it is winter and you only want a few hours just park on the pier for a cheap cheap price!
